- Feeling the Pressure? (grades K-5; Physical Science, Biology)
Students explore the relation between water pressure, density, and depth to gain an increased understanding of how water pressure affects humans and marine life.
- Where in the World is Hawaii? (grades K-5; Geography, Biology)
Students become familiar with abstract representations of the world and note the isolation of Hawaiian Islands from other land masses.
- Sand Explorations (grades 2-9; Geography, Geology)
Why do Maui's beaches look so different from one another? By examining beach sand from various locations, students create a "sand map" to explain the geological, geographic and biological forces at work.
